Privacy Policy

Updated: August 5, 2022

Since the beginning of the creation of WizNote, the user's data security has been given top priority. This privacy policy mainly explains where your data is stored, how we keep it safe, and some things you care about.

If you decide to use the services provided by our products, this agreement is used to inform us how to collect, use and disclose the privacy of users.

If you choose to use the services we provide, you agree to collect and use the information related to this policy. The personal information we collect is used to provide and improve services. Unless otherwise stated in this privacy policy, we will not use or share your information with anyone.

Unless otherwise stated in this privacy policy, the terms used in this privacy policy have the same meaning as our terms and conditions and can be accessed on the official website of WizNote. This Privacy Policy applies to all products and services offered by us, including WizNote X and others.

Data Ownership

WizNote aims to provide a stable, reliable, and convenient cloud note service and a good experience for all Internet users. The user has complete ownership and uses rights for the data on the WizNote series products. I know that technology, cloud service providers, and any third parties have no right to use your data.

Data Security

To know the data storage of notes, services are provided by internationally renowned cloud service providers. By default, we store user data on Alibaba Cloud servers. Based on distributed storage technology, the elastic computing service implements the cloud server's fault recovery function. It can complete the automatic migration of the cloud server at the first time of failure while ensuring the URL and firewall. The rules, etc., do not change. Every piece of your data is hashed on servers around the world, and no one, including employees who know the notes, can find a complete piece of data. In addition to choosing a public cloud service, enterprise users can also choose to know the box and save the data in their own office or hosted computer room.

Your WizNote account has a password protection function to ensure your privacy and information security. WizNote ensures that your personal information and note data are protected multiple times. WizNote will strive to take a variety of reasonable precautions to protect your information, account number, etc.

  1. Users can freely choose whether to synchronize the content saved for the Windows client of WizNote to the server so that some important things can not appear on the Internet. This option is set in the properties of the root directory (right-click properties of the root directory).
  2. Password-protected user passwords are not stored in plaintext on the server or in the client of WizNote, and will go through multiple hashes, so the user password will not be lost or intercepted by the Sniffer tool. The WizNote client provides the function of entering a password to open the software to avoid leakage when others use the computer.
  3. The data encryption function can be set in the file attributes and root folder attributes. It provides a high-strength data encryption function for WizNote, using an asymmetric encryption algorithm (RSA+AES). WizNote server and WizNote client use a public key to encrypt the document but cannot decrypt the document. Only the private key provided by the user can decrypt the document; WizNote enforces password protection on the private key, so even if others get it illegally, The private key cannot open the document. In this way, the user's encrypted document will not be cracked in the WizNote server or WizNote client, so it is absolutely safe. Of course, if the key is lost, these encrypted documents will become legends, and developers have no way to open them.
  4. Communication security users can choose the HTTPS transmission method to synchronize data to avoid network monitoring.
  5. In order to know the online storage structure of notes, user files are stored in a hash to store them all in a hash way.
  6. The service provider's own network security provides continuous technical support and funding for the WizNote operation department to ensure the security of the server.
